The Consortium is meant to be a Sanctum Sanctorum for Accomplished Artists.
It is the Future Plan
and Intent of JMAC to Provide Medical/Healthcare and Life Insurance Benefits for Musicians and Artists in General.
In some case this Benefit may not be necessary whereas some artists are also Employed in another field of endeavor
where such benefits are included. Not so for Most of the fulltime Musicians in the musical Genre of Jazz, Blues, and
alike.
The other mission of JMAC is to Convince Club
Owners and Venues to allow JMAC to Be Responsible for the Payment and Employment of Booked Artists, to then In Turn pay a
Monthly Dues to JMAC to Defer It Costs in Maintaining Employment of Said Musicians/Artists, and Management of Same Regarding
Gig Particulars and to gain a leverage over Club Owners and Venues who have been Exploiting Entertainers for years, this in
regards to Compensation and treatment.
The Benefit
for some would be Threefold, First Artists would belong to a Collective that would Ensure that Their Bookings were
more substantial in compensation, whereas they as artists could parlay their membership in the collective to call
on same to Participate with any of its member groups/artist to lend a donation of Time and Performance commitment to any worthwhile
cause that is in line with the Mission and Vision of JMAC.
Member Artists would be able to draw from JMAC any artists members needed to perform /support and send the Musical
Message said member artists would have Intended for suchFunction envisioned.
This would be
Required of Members of the Consortium for Receiving the Benefits extended by JMAC and to support each other as a Bonding Chain
and Powerbase to Wield Leverage in the Music Live Performance Arena.
The Traveling Venue JMAC hopes
to Acquire will then Provide a Mobile Venue for Varied Artist to Permeate and Spread Their Music among the Populace Live
and in Living Color; and to be Compensated Properly for Doing so, the Resultant of Club Dues, Contributions and JMAC's
intake of Cash Flow from Supplying Group Benefit Insurances.
Why Clubs, Owners and Venues would be willing
to pay a monthly Dues?
The answer is this:
They (Club Owners and Venues) are Presently Really
Exposed for Not Making Sure Taxes are being paid by performers, even though they are Paying them, in some cases, via a 1099
Form Basis. Suffice it to Say, it would be in the best interest of any entertainment venue realizing that it would be Best
Served having JMAC Paying the Performers and being responsible for withholding taxes. This would become a Godsend for
the Musicaian/Artist Community without exception.
This gives an Insight of some of the Many
Benefits-others of which will be set forth and unfolding as time goes on-and will serve as a value add to the Artists
and Performing Community as a whole.
